My research points me in the same direction, and it just so happens there was one on flea-bay so i picked it up, It kind of sucks that i needed to get one, but i want to get the zabtec mods done to one, they have been out of cores for 3 years so i could not just do the swap with them like you can with the plastic bodies.
I am doing a fair amount of smaller under the hood mods on my ST in an effort to maximize my MPG
the big bullet points are
Mac cat back 2.5 exhaust
Mac intake
throttle body opened up
electric fan
and some custom tunes from motorhaven
MAYBE do an underdrive pully system as well, but i am not really sure how much that will yield me after replacing the fan with an electric fan.
i am hoping with these mods and good driving habbits that i will be able to hit 25-26 hwy mpg and maybe 19-20 around town
