I'm not very t/c savvy, so can someone tell me what the heck that is on the back? It looks like a slip yoke to flange converter? What so you think about it clearing the 21 gal tank? I'm still waiting on deminsions from the j/y.

Also just got off the phone with Mike from Viking truck and auto in Cali. (nice guy) he measured the width to be ~27" how does that compare to the 4406?

That looks like it will be all over the frame rail but who knows. I have been doing the same research lately and I dont want to move my gas tank. I work on a few 150s and 250s weekly so I really need to get some good measurments

Good to know I'm not the only one that doesn't want to change tanks. I'm waiting for a reply from V8 about his 4406. If it's the same width I'll pick one up and try it, if not I'm just going to go the 4406 route. Let us know if you find out anything new.

I've decide that I'm going to go with the manual 4406. I got to thinking about the slip yoke, and think that'll actually work better for me in the long run since eventually I want to do the RCD kit, and maybe I won't have to change the rear shaft again.

When is it going in? A fixed yoke with a slipjoint in the driveshaft usually works better and wont tear up T-cases as much off road.

I measured a 4406 today at work and I beleive it was 26.5'' wide. I have all the measurements written down but I left them at work.

Also it looks like we can use our factory rear driveshaft

That 4407 looks ALOT like a 1356. I won't be able to measure the t-case for a while, but 26-27" sounds about right.

Well if I get a wild hair and decide to drive 300 miles I'll go pick up the one I found for $100 (*******s wont ship it). :fire:

get it. Im about to post a pic of the dimentiions of a 4406

Ok I was wrong on the dimentions. You'll probibly have to stick to a 4406

WOW, is all I have to say to that, you really got a lot of info! I might try and get better demensions, like I said I got the 27" from one of the sales men, if I can find one locally I'll see about getting that^ crative ;) thanks for the update though.

I'll see if I can find a 4407. I was putting nerf bars on an 05 150 and it had a 4406 so I started taking measurments. I have never seen a 4407 but theres a first for everything.

Ignore me... I actually had to USE half my brain....
