2005 Sport Trac Adrenalin
Hi,

Been looking on the forums for a lil' bit so I decided to make a post. Just bought a Sport Trac a couple months ago (I really like it, first truck was an '01 Ford Ranger) and I'm looking for any advice I can get about maintaining/modifying my truck.

2005 Sport Trac Adrenalin
-RWD
-Only 47k miles on the clock :D
-Basically I think it has every option except 4WD :/
-All stock (for now)
-replaced stabilizer bar end links (Moog)
-changed the oil (Mobil 1 oil and filter)
-runs pretty good, once I get some new plugs and wires I feel like it'll run great

Future Maintenance: (maybe around 50k)
-Spark plugs and wires; I was planning on going with Motorcraft
-Replace transmission filter and get at least some new fluid in there

Future Plans:
once my current stock tires run out
-Bigger tires maybe 33s on some 15s or I'm thinking about painting my stock wheels black and running 285/75r16 (Do the trac's with the adrenalin package have specific stock rims?)
-Shackle & maybe an AAL with the TT
-painting some interior trim pieces black

That's all I can think of right now, any advice/tips are appreciated!

Welcome to the world of Sport Tracs and dang that's low mileage!! Looks like you've got preventative maintenance on your mind which is good.

I would suggest doing a full trans flush while you've got low mileage and get all of the old fluid out and get new fluid in. I wish that's something I could do, but I'm past that point with mine.

As for the lift, go with an AAL instead of shackles to help your leaf springs out. The shackles will flatten them over time.

I painted my interior trim red using Krylon Fusion plastics paint. All I did was pop everything out, cleaned it with alcohol wipes and then painted it. Lots of thin coats works best in my experience. Still holding up without any issues!

Hey, thanks for the reply. If I go with the AAL, will I be able to clear 33s? (with trimming of course)

I'll definitely keep the tranny flush in mind.

As for the paint, I bought the same, Krylon Fusion.
