Hail.

If you remeber me I hade my car at the dealer for 6.5 weeks when they did try to fix it.

Well got it back and still hade some "ticking" niose when i was standing still with motor runing (Same with gear in or Neutral).

Now this noise is getting louder and I got the ratteling sound back just b4 a new gear goes in.(this sound was there b4 the dealers fixed it, but was gone when i got it back, and now its back)

Ive been driving like 300 Swe Miles (3000 Km) after the last repair.

Is it the same problem just after 3000km or is it something ellse..

PLZ help me out I realy wana have my Explorer in tipTop chape..

I had a knocking noise coming from the engine. When I brought my 97X to the dealer he told me thats its a 00m12. They fixed it and there is no more of that noise. So maybe you have some other problem.
This is just my experience with such a problem.
Hope you can get it fix. Good luck.

Well, the ticking I got concerned about turned out to be my fuel injectors firing.
That rattle is what I had to get fixed and was talking to you about a while ago.
It is not covered by either 00M12 or 01M01. It is the rear cam chain tensioner(s) and casset(s). Cost me $800 parts and labor (total $1300 by the other stuff they fixed)... but it definatly quited it down alot, although every now and then I notice it for a second.

Good luck

00M12 and 01M01
What exactally is that?

They are TSB (Trouble Service Bullitons)

I think they are related to the cam guides and cam tensioners on the V6 SOHC

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well back to the dealer and thank GOD I got ensurance that will cover this repair. (will cost me max 500$).

Well all in all I love my X and its a great feeling raiding in it so I wana have it sound nice two :) And imo its wourth 500$ any day.

Swede, I'm curious, what did it turn out to be?

I wonder if I have ever had it done?

Before I owned it that is.
