just got my 4.56 gears in and...

I love it! But I wanted to know what speedo gear I need. My x is a 91 with a stock 3.73, now I have 33's and 4.56. My truck is also a automatic. I read some where I need a 20 tooth gear, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanx.

Hate to tell ya man...........but you have to pull yours out first. Then work from there.

You need to know what # of teeth your current gear has, and how far off the speedo is at a certain speed.. I don't know everything you need to know about it, but maybe this will help: http://www.explorer4x4.com/speedo.html


EDIT - BTW: If you have an idea, about how fast can you go with the tires and gears? And how many RPM's are you turning around 70mph? I'm trying to decide what I want for whenever I get the money...
