Just installed a K&N full intake on my 96 ohv 4.0 with 260k

bought a used k and n intake from a guy on here for 110 shipped. Great price and came in perfect condition like he said. I installed it and took it for a test drive. Went wide open a couple times 1 to 2nd gear full pulls and i was very surprised with how loud the intake is. My other cars are svt lightning and celica gts both with intakes and they are loud as well but the old explorer really surprised me. I suggest getting one if you have a ohv 4.0 it was a great investment. Fit perfect and no problems so far.

I dont have a K&N, but I do have a cold air setup, and the sound when you really get on the throttle is amazing. So deep and throaty!

Yea, I've had it on my other car aswell, but the annoying part, is the whistle at idle. I plan on doing the swap within a couple months or so.
