- 2025 MY Explorer Active
Been lurking for a while; thanks for running a great forum with lots of useful info and pleasant folk to share it with.
I've finally joined, and can share a couple of photos.
My current car is a Rapid Red 2021 MY XLT 4WD - totally stock, had it since new - and it's been a great vehicle so far.
Looking forward to seeing the new information about the 25 MY on Feb 1st, and plan on ordering a 25 MY XLT/Activ as soon as Ford opens up the orders. Hopefully the manufacturing and quality issues of the 20MY launch are not repeated with the 25MY freshening.
My first Explorer - and probably the favorite car I've ever "owned" - was a new 1999 MY 2 door Explorer Sport, with the 4.0 OHV "Cologne" engine, a manual 5-speed trans, and selectable/permanent 4WD. I drove it almost 50,000 miles in the the two and a half years I had it, and even though it was dog slow, and rode terribly on rough surfaces, I wish I still had it....
