Just removed the roof rack tonight

it was easier than i thought. didn't really realize how much larger the two middle screws were going to stick up. Did you guys seal the middle bolts/did you use those bolts? I do like the general look. Much easier to wash the top of the truck without the rack there. doesn't look as tall without it, which I like. Will try to get a little bit of white paint for them tomorrow.

I just painted them all over with the same color of the truck. Maybe you can look for a much shorter screw of the same thread.

I believe you can get some screws that will sit level with the top, I've never looked into it though. I just put mine back in and painted them with touch up paint.

Did you seal those middle screws up? I didn't but now I guess I should have just to be sure they don't leak. It would be my luck...

I didn't seal any of them. I just reinstalled them. Been like that for over a year now, no problems

I used plumber's teflon tape on the end screws. I didn't touch or rotate the middle ones.
