What does this mean.

I was going to buy the 57-2528 filter for my 4.0 SOHC and I saw a note that stated that it was not designed for vehicles with Body lifts

i dont see why u cant use it with a body lift. im sur emany people here have lifts and use K&Ns.

That's what I would think. I'm also sure that they still do.

My question is why it would make a differance to raise the body 3"?

Because the metal "floor" below the air filter is being raised and the engine (and thus filter) are not. You may need to adjust your air intake tube, MAS, and air filter, but you will be able to get it to work.

Ok, that's kinda what I was thinking but I was going to wait until one of you lifted guys gave me the 411

As Alec said, the metal plate under your stock air-box goes up but your engine doesn't. This causes a problem with the hard replacement intake tube that is included with the kit. My generation 1 kit works fine with my body lift since my flexible factory intake tube is still being used. It's the hard tube on the generation 2 kit that causes the problem with the body lift. You might be able to use your stock intake tube and get it to work with a body lift theough. I would have to look at the new kit to be sure though.

Where at?

tenikiwon - were did you find that kit and and for how much? And does anyone know a nationwide store that would have that kit, don't have a credit card so I can't order it off the net?

Thanks

Andrew
