Key security features preventing start up

Same thing was happening with my 2013 PIU, I don't know what I did or changed but now I have to press the brake pedal in while turning the key to get it to crank. But if you're not able to communicate with the ECU that might be a different issue altogether
Welcome to the Forum.
Looks like now you have to start it the way those with the push button start do. :)

Well today was a good night. Found 3 more unshielded police department wires. Vehicle started right up after getting them shielded.

Going to do an in depth search for any others, fasten the harness, and then do the civilian interior swap

Just FYI my 15 PIU did have a PATS module in it, but it was not hooked up. I have since hooked it up and reprogrammed mine so it works. I was surprised Ford even put it in there.
