After many efforts to fix my keyless entry pad, I just bought another. I bought it from a site that sold genuine Ford parts. I received it in the mail and installed it only to have the same problem only with a new pad. It wasn't the 9/0 button, it was the wiring.

My question is this, does anyone know if it is possible to change the keypads password to any code that doesn't use the 9/0 key using the OBD port?

Or any ideas of what else I could do.

As soon as I get the chance I'll look up and send you some info in fixing your keypad problem. I'm just swamped right now but I'll try and do it this evening.

IIRC if you want to enter a personalized code you still need to enter the factory code to do it. I'll assume from your post that you have a 9/0 in your factory code.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Yeah I took apart the whole passenger side looking for it, and it was behind the airbag. What an ingenious place for it. At this point, I don't care if the 9/0 works or not, Id don't feel like tearing more into my vehicle and following some wires. If I could change the code to anything other than a code using the 9/0 button, I would be ecstatic. So again, I really appreciate your help.

I really don't know if the factory code can be changed at the dealership or not. Never had anyone ask that. How about you calling them and asking if it can be done and let us know. Interesting question.
