I have a 99 explorer sport. A few months back I was having problems with the driver's side door not unlocking some of the time (using viper alarm, buttons inside, keypad, nothing- I'd have to hit unlock and then use the unlock button on the passenger side or in the back). ANother problems was the keypad wouldn't always work- it was like the numbers were stuck and weren't reading right.
My brother fixed the lock so it unlocks without problems now, but I noticed the keypad doesn't work at all anymore.
Having the keypad working is pretty much a must for me- being a gym teacher I'm always wearing shirts and 90% of the time I don't have pockets once it gets warm so I jsut lock the keys in the glove box and use the keypad to get in.
Could the code have reset itself when he was greasing the locks/etc.? Any other ideas what could have happened or easy ways to fix it? Thanks
