Is anyone running kicker L7's in their X? People that i have talked to at school say they're great. Whats your opinion?

I have heard nothing but great reviews on these subs. I also heard that the 10's hit like 12's and the 12's hit like 15's.

sound good form far off.......very noisy up close.(rattle alot)

the only negative i heard about the solobarics is that the corners are weak compared to an conventional round woofer.

Yesterday a friend of mine blew the corner out of his L7 Solobaric 12!!!!!! You know, right where the straight sides meet and it has all of that creased rubber? I didnt believe him when he told me. I guess what you hear about the weak corners is true!! Blew a hole in it.....Maybe his box was too small considering how much power he was feeding it. We are gonna try to fix it with hot glue. Will post pics.

I wouldn't doubt that they suck.....I've delt with the solos, comps, I believe the VR's(i could be wrong on the name) and the ones that come in truck boxes. They all have sucked. Their performance definately turned me away from their subs...I might add, their component comps are sweet.....er, what ever is the best model, but this is the only good product i've seen from them

From what I hear they take goobs of power to get sounding good. But they don't need a large enclosure. Also they are really expensive for what I've seen. You could do better for your monery.
