I have been running the KKM intake since 09 and love it. My wife stole the mounty from me back in 2010 and last month I bought her a lexus is250 and got my mounty back so the mods continue (better late than never lol)

Anyway I got a new filter for it and picked up a generic ebay heat shield for it a while ago and today I got a Spectre Performance (8738) 45 Degree Intake Tube ($10 amazon) and a Spectre Performance 8771 3-3/2.5" Intake Coupler ($7 amazon) in the mail so here we go. Install was super easy and it moves the intake filter further down and right in front of where fresh air enters the grill ( I cut a portion out to get more air you can see in the pics) So its kinda a ram air set up. Not sure if it will really even help much but after a week or so I will update with performance gains/ mpg gains. It looks like it will be much better but like I said it might not do a thing. Here are the pics:

autozone/advance auto parts sells the couplers and elbow pipe. Not sure about the heat shield but Im sure you can find them form other online retailers. Good luck:thumbsup:

what size are they and what kind of mounting brackets do i need

what size air sensor mount. 3"?

Not sure what you mean about an air sensor mount.

To do this you must already have a KKM intake. http://www.kustomz.com/054004.html

The KKM intake has a mass airflow sensor mount on it. If you do not have the KKM intake kit there is no universal mas mount to make your own intake for our engines that I am aware of.
