hey guys,
i found a great deal on some KYB monomax adjustable shocks...was wondering if anyone had any insight/experience with them, and how they stack up against the bilsteins or edelbrocks?
any thoughts, opinions, info would be much appreciated...thanks!

please? =/

bleh....knew it!
i asked wtf monomax adjustables were....i thought the adj. ones were AGX...now he says they're non adjustable =/

Buy them and then give us a review on them. ;) They sound interesting.

I have the edelbrock IAS shocks and am very pleased with them.

I can't help with shocks for the Explorer, but I put on KYBs on my Maxima. They handle my performance springs very nice and have increased the handling like 10x. I know this is not the perfect comparison but I'm speaking to the KYB quality - very happy.

I have KYB Monomax and they are performance oriented. Don't get them if you want lots of cushioning. They are very good for handling though.

im planning on getting new shocks soon and i was wondering if (hartman) you go offroading much. i dont go offroading nearly as much as i am onroad, so i want some shocks that are great for onroading, but can also handle a little offroad action. anyone got any suggestions??

I just put the KYB Monomax's on my Sport. The rear is nice and firm but the front doesn't feel as firm as the rear, but definatly a better improvement over stock. They aren't all that stiff of a ride, or maybe my 31's are counter balancing it. I'll find out for sure in about a week when I put 20's on here.

All in all, I think KYB's are worth it, price and quality are both good with this shock. Picked all 4 of them up for 190 at Summit. :D

i like bilsteins better but thats just my opinion, i have heard nothing but good things about KYB. if i remember correct it is a gas shock and you will get a lot more performance out of a gas shock, i would go ahead and get them especially if there is a deal on them
