Leaf Springs

Wanting to know if dearching the leaf springs will help lower my Sport Trac ? Don't think I would be satified with just putting a 3" block in the rear .

im not an a spring expert but dearching springs sounds like a bad idea, if 3 inches isnt enough just remove a leaf from the pack and get some shorter shackles, id go that route before dearching springs.
