my left front wheel is making a squeeking type noise. it goes along with the speed, and tends to die down a bit when i turn left. its not the bearing sound..as ive had my bearings go out twice in the past 12 months..fun stuff lemme tell ya. also, if i bounce up and down on that corner...i can hear a clicking noise that sounds like the squeek it makes when driving. any ideas?

i would immediately think the shocks or body bushings....or bushings of some sort in the general area

hmm, the shocks are only about a year old. got them last summer. it sounds like its coming from the wheel/hub area. what types of bushings are in and around that area?

swaybar bushings...... brakes can squeak, but not normally if just pushing down on the car... bad ball joints make a clicking noise, so do bad tierods, as do bad control arm bushings

I had a similiar noise from the passenger front end. When I took the Explorer in for new tires/alignment the bore/housing for the ball joint to rest in on the lower control arm was very sloppy. The repair was around $400 to fix which included labor, new lower control arm and ball joint. No problems since it was repaired.
