New to the forum as well as 2nd Gen explorers! I inherited a 99 Explorer Sport 2wd 4.0 SOHC. I have spent last 6 months or so going through little odd and end stuff as well as browsing around the forum. I am about to do the dreaded valvebody job and would love to hear a few opinions on which kit or route recommended. I think I want to go with THP's kit that's 299 and shows up ready to mount to the trans with new gaskets and fluid and be done with it, this kit by the way comes with 2 of the 6 solenoids. Anyone have first hand experience with that exact kit?
Would it be worth it to spend 399 on their kit that replace all 6 solenoids?
