Lift gate unlock intelligent key

2020 Explorer XLT. I can’t open the rear lift gate unless vehicle is unlocked already or I hit the key button twice on fob. Other people say they can leave their key in pocket and hit the button under the trim piece to open. I can’t do that. I don’t have the kick feature either. I made a video to show. Any suggestions?

Go to settings on the center screen to activate the button.

That on screen feature is enabled. I’ve disabled it and it turns off the push button to close gate on mine

Are you able to enter the vehicle when locked by just grabbing the door handle?
Also, do you have the push button start?

Yes the grab door handle unlock works on all 4 doors, and has remote start.
