If i get a 6 inch skyjacker lift, will i have to make any changes to the driveshaft, lengthen it or get a new one? Thanks

some say yes and some say no.......talk to jamming4jim hey put a 5.5 in lift on his. I belive he had to get a 6 inch longer driveshaft.

6 inches would be way to long to add the driveshaft u couldn't even get the driveshaft back on . When i had the rear skyjacker sixer i had no problems with my driveshaft but after i bumped it up to a full 8 inches of susp lift in the rear my driveshaft has fallen out4 times from overextending finally after the shaft was bent and beatened to hell i took a 4 door explorer shaft and had a shop shorten the 4 door shaft to be 2 inches longer than my 2 door shaft now it's perfect no overextending and no bottoming out and tearing up the transfercase .

with a skyjacker lift the new leaves positions the pinion angle up so in other words u will be fine with the stock driveshaft

thats why I stated "check with jamming4jim" because Im not sure what the actual length was that he needed. I just remember that he said He HAD to get a longer driveshaft.

i wasn't trying to be an a$$ hole i was just saying that has to be wrong after i read my reply i noticed i sounded kinda like a smart as$

its cool man

reply to skyjacker.

Ok, sorry i just don't want to have any surprises accompanied by my lift, but i have a 4 door explorer, so i would not have to change my driveshaft? Also, do you have to move the radiator or transfer case to accompany the lift?

to my knowledge you only have to drop the radiator with a body lift. I had to drop mine 3 inches with my 3 inch body lift on my other vehic.

T-Case.. .. I dont know
