Link to sagging front door fix??

Hello,

I know I saw a link on fixing a sagging driver's side door somewhere on this site but cannot find it. Anyone know where it is.

My new 93 XLT came w/ a sagging door & the previous owner had a new door hinge & post he had never gotten around to installing. Before I blindly tear the door off, I figured I would check this fix out on here.

Anyone help?

I did not realize until you pointed out the search that the google could be limited to this site only...so in response "yes" I had tried to search by looking through a # of areas in this site, but not the search engine.

It's easier to buy the Hinge pin as shown on that Thread that Blee1099 so sarcastically sent you to.

You may want to buy the pin even though you have the whole Hinge.
Try just replacing the Upper one first, that one seems to be the big problem.

Door does not have to come off. Just throw some cushion on a Floor jack and jack up under the outside edge of the door.

Thanks for info. That looks like a great description of how to solve the problem but not sure if it is for a 2005 Explorer.
When I search the site I just get back to the internet. Would like to just search for my model year but not sure how to do it.

N1BVH, you'll notice a Google search box at the top of this page. Include your model year in the box - realizing that you may not find an answer if you limit the search to a specific year. As you've noticed the site is by generation not by specific year. Good luck.
