So at about 35mph, I get this wonderfully aggrivation hum from the front of my ex. The three piece axle is not spinning, so I rule out my front diff. The wheel bearings have already been replaced (all 4), but showed no difference other than a tighter wheel. The brake pads have tons of meat on them. It does seem as tho it is all from the front end. Also, if I throw it in reverse and back up normally as you would with a manual tranny, I get to clunks from under the truck spaced appx a half a second apart. Then it happens when I go forward too. So guys, what can ya tell me on this? I'm curious to hear ideas. Oh, rule out the rear U joints, they are good too. I did the "slide under and wiggle it" thing. All is tight and greased.

I will gladly help you with your Hummer and take it off your hands for you. ;)

Hmm. Check your bushings. That's all i can think for the clunking.

yah..if you have auto hubs that's a pretty good possibility

Yeah, they are still auto hubs, but now I have to hold off on that issue. Today, the flippin AC compressor got cherry red under the hood before I realized the smell was coming from my truck 150 feet away. Why god, why so soon? Grrrrrr... :fire:
