Well, I've got a little over 2,000 miles on my Livernois 93 perf tune now. The tune is my only perfornance mod. I run only Shell or Chevron 93 oct. I added the Magnaflow mufflers soon after the tune. Just as I expected, I don't think the Magnaflows add any performance but IMHO they sound great. Transmission upshifts have settled nicely. They remain nice and crisp - a huge improvement over stock. Love the vastly improved mid range and sounds the car makes now. My 0-60s are consistency in the 5.9x or 6.0x range in the hot Houston summer weather (no special launch, traction control on - normal mode, floor it and go). No codes and all emissions monitors show ready for testing for the NY testing standards.
Gas mileage has improved by ~2 mpg post-tune. I'm certain that break-in has a large part to play in this, but the tune and switch to Mobil 1 certainly didn't hurt.
I'm doing my own oil changes using Mobil 1 (5w30) because the Ford dealer put the wrong oil in at my 5K oil change (5w20) and then argued they were right even though it clearly says 5w30 on the filler cap (I drained it and redid the oil and filter change myself. No more dealerships. At least they put the PTU cooling duct back on).
Overall, I'd never go back to the stock tune unless forced to take the explo back to Ford for something. Overall very happy with the XS, the Livernois tune and my other mods to date (knock on wood). YMMV of course!
