2022 Explorer Timberline
Bought my 2022 Timberline on Monday from a dealer out of state (400+ miles away). I'm second owner and it had 1,981 miles on it and it's a CPO. Basically new.

Yesterday I was outside getting to know it better and setting up some of the functions. I wanted to change the doorpad code and it needs the factory code to make the changes. It's supposed to be on the owners card (I have them for my other Ford vehicles) but it's nowhere to be found. The owners manuals were still plastic wrapped in the glove box so I went through all of those but it's not there.

I messaged my salesman to ask where else it could be and he has no idea. Says first owner may have kept it as they don't have it. Told me to take it to a local dealer here and they can pull it, but they want $200 to hook up the computer to it to read it. I searched and see that the factory code should also be on a label on the Security Module. Wondering where that might be at so I can pop some panels and take a peek..

Thanks!

I tried placing the keys in the location specified in that video and it did not work. Tried several times.

I did actually find the code today though. For future searches if anyone is looking for the answer:

The code is on a sticker on the back of the fuse block in the drivers side knee panel.
I've seen that to. Seems like most people don't want to dig that far. Glad you found it.

At least Ford finally put the fuse block is in an accessible area as opposed to the 5th Gen when you had to turn into a pretzel to get to it.

I was sure if the 6th gen was the same as the 5th gen but it appears that it is. Only on the 5th gen the fuse panel is practically inaccessible as it it is way under the dash. Thanks for confirming.

I won't say it was easy, but easier than I'd anticipated. Two 7mm bolts at the bottom of the knee panel (1 under the fuse box lid, one lower right of panel) and a lot of plastic push clips that required more effort to remove than I was really comfortable with. The fuse block itself was held on with one 7mm bolt in upper right. Required a lot of tugging to get it to release after the bolt was removed. Got it down far enough to stick my camera on my phone back there and snap a blurry photo from which I was able to discern the code. With it being a Timberline I also had to unplug the AUX light indicator which is drilled through the plastic kickpanel.

New here so not sure if we can post links. If you have 2 key fobs you could follow the youtube video to have the code displayed on the dash info screen. Hope this helps you like it helped me.

I tried that 3 times and it didn't display anything for me in the center. I did find it though on a sticker. Explained it in another reply in this thread. Thank you!
