http://www.killeraxles.com/html/lockers.html Offrotec German lockers. This site has vacuum operated 100% locking lockers available for the front and rear of explorers. Check out the application page we are listed. Here is the company's page in German Dead Link Removed
I found it while surfing hopefully it's a good product it certainly looks rugged.

This has been discussed before. The price is very expensive, not to mention shipping from Germany.

I heard the guy was going to open up shop in LA. That would = a better price probably than getting something from Germany. If i had the money id go for it anyways because i doubt ARB will ever engineer a locker for the 95+ D35.

Eaton E-Locker out for the rear as well as the ARB. Detroit Electrac comming soon. Also of course powertrax has front and rear but isnt selectable.....

I have a Powertrax front and I LOVE it. It is now broken in, and is 100% silent in operation. It does it all, high speed fast washes, and 4-Lo loose hill climbs.

We, me and people in my company, go to Germany on a monthly basis if anyone is really interested. I know I am, just not ready to splurge on that quite yet...

It locks the 2 front tires together so if 1 gets stuck the other will still spin to get traction. An open front, the tires are independent and only 1 wheel is powered in most cases. The wheel with the less traction will usually spin. Make sense?
