Is there a company that makes automatic lockers for the front and rear on the 3 gen? I'm tired of flexing my explorer out only to lift 1 or 2 tires off the gound and then get stuck.

Thanks,
Yankee

idk if they make locking hubs for explorers but i kno the towing package comes with a rear LSD... thats about all i kno though..

i am thinking about air or electric lockers for mine -- i don't know if they are available for my 03 but that would seem like the best and most contollable way to have 4 wheel 4wd

yea i would say to look around to get a new set of gears with an LSD or locker.. itll help save ur ass when u need it.. especially with tires off the ground

I checked into it. I posted a thread; I think under "Now appearing in 265s". They recommended a manual locker for IRS, instead of an automatic or posi-trac. The one they recommended was about $650, but they listed some around the $300-$400 range if I remember.

Ok so heres what I've learned about lockers for the 3rd gen. The front diff is a Dana 35 and the rear is a Ford 8.8. From what I've read a heard from other places we can get lockers for ANY make or model vehicle with the same axle and the locker or limited slip will work. If thats true then we will have no problem finding lockers. Some Jeeps have Dana 35's and the 8.8 is EVERYWHERE!!!. Like I said I'm not sure if any 35 or 8.8 locker will work thats just what I've heard. If anyone has any more info please let us know!!

Thanks,
Yankee
