- 2004 ford explorer
Hello. I figger it would be good etiquette to introduce myself and say hi before I started begging for help with my new to me 2004 ford explorer which will need the blend door actuator replaced along with the plastic arms that open and close the doors to control air flow to defrost and floor. Very disapointed to have bought this explorer less than 2 weeks ago and finding out I. Am going to have to take on this task so soon but that's life I guess. When I bought it I knew the issue with the air only blowing out of the forward vent but it was kind of a kick in the pants to have the heat go out in exchange for an annoying click click click sound when ever I turn up the heat.
but more on that soon in the correct forum.
Anyway I am a hvac tech/installer by trade but I am not working in that field at the moment. I am from east central iowa. I enjoy target shooting, hunting, fishing, hiking and most anything that keeps me outdoors. I am 31 have a wonderful wife and 2 grate boys ages 9 and 2. I have been driving ford trucks and suv for the last 10 years. Starting with a 92 explorer and then a 2005 ranger then a 2000 explorer and now as of last week the 2005 explorer sport entered the family. I really like the explorer line and am looking forward to learning more from the folk here. To tell the truth I have got a lot of help from this place over the years but have never registered. Figgered it was time.
So that's about it. Looking forward to being a member and hope I can contribute as much as I can
