Anyone know of anybody in the Fresno/Clovis/Madera California area that knows how to set up gears and is willing to do it for some beer and pizza?

Anybody know anybody, who knows somebody, that would be willing to help? I will add extra pepperoni and a pony keg!

Why don't you try doing it yourself and see how it goes? just set up everything to what feels about right.. that's what i do and i've done 5 diff's now, none had problems. i have no special tools, just set the backlash right, and make sure the gears mesh roughly in the center (if you keep the shimming the same, it'll probably come out correctly)

when you read about setting up gears, or ask people, everbody makes it sound like a huge big deal and you end up afraid to try it. but it's not really that bad. read the basics and just set them to what feels right (feel the backlash before you take it apart, set it about the same or slightly tighter, etc)

worst that will hapen is you'll destroy the new gear set you bought and waste you're time... but you'll learn in the process at least :)

how close are you to sac?

nevermind lol thats a long drive.

Its not a long drive at all. I sent you a PM.
