I have a loose connection at the factory speaker wire harness and the Metro Harness behind the head unit.
Here's a link to the part of the harness in question.
It's the black plug in the pic.

I've replaced all the quick connects ( behind head unit, at speakers and everywhere else), used different rca's, different grounds, different power wires, different speaker wires and different turn on leads.
I've narrowed it down to the factory speaker wire harness.
Has anyone else ever experienced the Metro harness causing problems? The specific problem is the sound going on and off, and a good amount of static.
I've even narrowed it down to using only 1 door speaker and hard wiring it to cause the problem.
This was done using the wiggle test.
My system consists of an Alpine 7874 head unit,
Pioneer 6870 rear door speakers and AudioBahn front speakers ( 6x8).
And a Rockford Fosgate 500S powering a Cadence 12 in Shockwave dual voice coil 3 ohm woofer in a vented box.
The head unit is powering the door speakers but as soon as i fix this problem, i have an amp ready to hookup to the door speakers.
All information appreciated.
