Sup guys, ok heres the deal.. i have a 92 Navajo 2wd (4.0-A4LD) ive got 94k on it and im havin some tranny problems..
On a cold start up, putting it into reverse is really harsh.. then i can pull out into the street hit drive, and it stays locked in 1st gear for a little over a mile before it starts shifting on its own. It will shift to 2nd if i shift it manually, if i try to go from 2 to D or OD it drops back to first....
after a mile or so @ 3000RPM the shifting starts normally, and around 45-50mph OD will kick in for a split second, dropping to about 1500RPM then shooting back into 3rd... out on the highway there is still no OD , 65mph yields about 3200RPM , 75 is about 4000RPM, and occasionally if i kick it down a gear when i floor it it winds all the way out to redline... I travel 16 miles on the highway to work, and once its warmed up after the ride, i have little or no reverse.. sometimes it is fine, other times its either nothing or barely moving around 3000RPM
I have replaced the speed sensor and the Vacuum Modulator. I've heard of some shift correction kits consisting of springs and what not but im not going to drop the valve body for that.. any ideas?
