98 Ford Ranger will not maintain normal operating temp when outside temp is 30F or lower. This happens at highway speeds of 60MPH or higher. Temp will slowly go all the way down C on the temp gage. Had this same problem with a 96 ranger 2.3L also. The thermostats have been replaced with no change. Everything operates normally when not driving more than 60MPH. I know this sounds like the thermostats are not closing but after changing 4 of them- no change. What else can I check? Has anyone else had this problem?
