There is a rusty hole on lower part of passenger side. I discovered this when I saw a little moisture on there and then I used my fingernail to scratch it. Once the hole showed up water came out like sprinkler. I estimate there were about 100-200 mL dirty water went out through the hole. I wasnt sure when the hole is there or when water got in there because I got this car just 1 month ago.
This morning I poured in a bout half gallon water into the drain hole on sunroof. I saw water out from a black hole (I dont know its name) on passenger side which is close the the rusty hole. I guess the sunroof draining system is fine.

My questions:
1. Any idea about this problem? How much may it cost get it repaired at mechanic?
2. If I simply neglect or patch it with filler/paint what is the consequence? This is old car so if it can last 3 years for me I will be happy.

Thank you in advance.

If you can treat the rust, you may get away with some JB Weld.
