I have a 2000 Explorer 4.0 SOHC. Can someone tell me the right way to tell the front from the back on my lower intake.
Thanks

Thought we covered this on your other thread. The lower manifold has a "L" molded into the side facing the driver...and, a "R" on the passenger side. I confirmed this last weekend by removing another one at the junkyard. As far as visually identifying which side goes where without these references...the only thing I could see that was different is there is an odd mounting hole insert on the passenger side (fourth hole from the front). It doesn't have as large a center hole as the others...although, it still uses the same size mtg screw. There's another odd-ball insert on the left side of a different nature (it's slotted on the bottom)...but, that can't be seen unless you remove the manifold. This info is from a '98 SOHC. I'm sure the 2000's are the same.
