Lowering a 4x4

Sup every1, i am new to this site.. I just bought a set of 20s from a member on here and now i have such a huge gap between my wheels and fender that i need to lower my ex... i want drop it about 4" all the way around...basically, i want to know is.. how hard is itto drop a 4x4... know the rear should be easy.. w/ the leaf springs.. but what will i need and do for the front? its a 96 explorer xlt 4x4...

why WHY would you want to drop the height of a 4x4 to begin with?? If you ever get in areas where there is snow (if you ever get out of Georgia) you would be plowing snow! :rolleyes:

Snow??? What is that??? we hardly ever get snow... maybe 4 inches a year at the most....
 






You would want to drop it as low as your mechanic could align it properly (about 2" for me). You wouldn't want to ruin them 20's tires would you?
 






my t-bar bolts are out for 3'' drop up front and 2'' blocks in the rear

k, u took out your Tbar bolts and that gave u a 3" drop up front?? and u put 2" loweringblocks on back?? is that what your saying? if so, how does it ride w/ out the tbar bolts, dropped about 3"??

any other ideas or ways to lower it where it actually rides dencent....

Here's an idea. Trade me for my 2wd and then lower that. I want a 4wd to lift. what condition is yours in?
