I know this isnt the Toyota Celica Message board, but the priciples in effect of how a manual tranny works are universal, mostly.
Anyway a friend of mine has a Toyota Celica w/ 5 speed manual.
She has been complaining that when she pushes on the gas the car stutters, and & 182k i figure its the
1. fuel Filter
2. Injectors
3. Fuel Pump
But after driving it, non of these seem right.
You can rev. the engine without problem, and the stutter is more like if you were to jog the clutch in and out.
I think her clutch is slipping?
The only thing that doesnt fit is I cant smell any fluids burning, and with the kind of slipping it would take to make the car loss power to wheels suddenly then gain again. tells me you would be burning some seriouse fluid.
Again this isnt a toyota board, but damnit i dont speak Japanese, and I trust you guys
