Good afternoon. I am new here with an '08 XLT and was wondering if anyone has encountered this type of problem (and the possible solution).

The other day walking to my car I remote unlocked the car and all of the exterior marker lights started blinking quickly, but not the headlights. In the car I could hear the relay clicking in time with the lights while the car was still off. The only time the flashing would stop was if the headlights were on, either in the on position on the switch or activated from the automatic sensor. It doesn't matter if the car is running, or if it is completely off.

I had to disconnect the battery when I got home lest the blinking I assumed would eventually kill the battery.

I was going to head to the dealer and get a new switch, but was curious if anyone else has seen this?

I appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks!

Check SJB module for corrosion, come back after SJB checked

Check your other bulbs. When my brake lights failed it would constantly blink the 3rd brake light very faintly.
