I am going to be getting a 75mm Pro-M MAS for my 5.0. I wanted to know where the best and cheapest place to get this would be?

I am also looking for a new Throttle Body, since it would make sense to do both at the same time, right? Which TB and where should I get it?

Looking for some more hp... :D (then comes the Apten chip after these two mods... )

Explorer Express may be the best, but I don't know about the cheapest. Your TB is already pretty big and I think your only choice would be one built for a 5.0 Mustang, which I believe won't bolt right in. Try searching the past threads. summitracing.com and truckperformance.com have the 66mm BBK TB for pretty cheap, but that probably wouldn't help your engine at all.

Pro-M From Explorer Express

We have the Pro-M 75mm available for $244.95. I think that is the best price that you are going to find. They are available in chrome or black. They are available for V6OHV, V6SOHC & V8.

Hey JOHN V. you already know how I like the way you explain things to us. So tell us who don't know... what does this Pro-M do and why is it an improvement over stock?

The Pro-M high performance mass air sensors are available in 70mm, 75mm & 80mm. They have a larger body than stock and allows for greater volume of air to flow to the intake. The electronic unit on the meter is recalibrated to send the proper message to the computer. This is what we call a stage 2 upgrade. Which means that you will get more benifit from it if you already have an exhaust and intake upgrade. It also works best with a computer chip. Consider it an ensemble piece. If you properly match your components, you will gain usable horsepower. It is not a large gain, but it is noticable with the right combinations of parts. This is not the first mod that you want to do. But if you have done everything else, it is the next step for the overall goal of more net horsepower!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Mass Air Sensor gains?

I was curious about the gains of a new MAS. So curious that I bought one 5 months ago. Bad thing is, I still don't have it. I guess I'll never know about any gains claimed.
