Mechanical vs. Electronic Temperature Sending Units???

So is there a difference in anything other than the obvious. There seems to be a moderate difference in price.

Autometer electric gauges aren't limited to a 90 degree sweep like that manufacturer.

"That" manufacturer S/W has been around for along time. Looks like they are finally updating their line of gauges.
Stewart Warner was the gauge of choice back in the 60's & 70's.
The elec. gauges are 270 degree sweep, not 90 degree. Mechanical gauges are full sweep.

You are correct on the elec. gauge being 90 sweep, my bad. The mech are 270 full sweep.
On a side note, Autometer makes only a select few elec. gauges with full sweep.
I think that the S/W 's graduation on the elec. gauges are easier to read. JMOP.
