Memory Seats

Does anyone know, do the Explorers with memory seat all have 10 way or do some have 6 way? I wanted to see if I could put a memory mod in, wire the seat in and then run a harness to the switch. I was thinking maybe, just maybe Ford used one type of harness and have the plugs already there, but I have not dug far enough to tell.

10 way leather with heat and memory is the only way that I have seen it.

it would be alot cheaper, buy the engine and dash harness with those options from a salvage explorer, its about $300 dollars

That's what I'm thinking.. How does the engine harness play into it? I hope I don't create gremlins by doing this!

Can you confirm that it is Ford part 14398? Is that the only harness, or is there another. Have you done this?

there are two engine harness, one that plugs in the engine bay its the other wiring harness is what tells the computer system what is include inside the vehicle...the part number should have 14398 in it
