Can you post a pic so we can know which piece you are talking about?
My guess is that you are talking about the metal structure behind the radio in the center dash, which support the equipment mounting tray on top (it's not a aftermarket part, it's an OEM support structure). If not, again, post a photo, or give more detail about it.
