I was just watching some of the videos on syncmyride and I'm a little overwhelmed. I've already joked with my husband that once the car arrives I'm going to need a few hours, sitting in it, in the driveway, so I can figure out what the heck I'm doing! So, for those of you that have used it, how hard is it? I'm decent with tech stuff but I'm not one of those people that it comes naturally to. I'm sure I'll get it after I "play" with it for a bit but I just want a feel for how complicated it is. From the videos I can tell it does WAY more than I'll probably ever use it for. I don't think I'll use navigation too much but I'll definitely use the phone and the entertainment part. Thanks!

Also, for those with the DVD option, I can't remember, where are the discs inserted? Where are the controls for the DVD players? Will it be up to the driver/passenger or will my kids be able to do it from the backseat?

Sooo excited to get my new car!!!

I picked my X up on Saturday, and I don't want to say I have it mastered, but I have it functional. I've just gotta work on getting my Ipod to work on it. It's pretty easy.

MFT is easy to pick-up and figure out. Even easier for your kids, ask for their help.

Though you might want to spend time in the driveway playing with it, I don't think you'll have any problem figuring it all out.

When I went to pick up my new XLT, the salesman sat it in with me and helped me sync my phone. But I could've done it all myself - it's easy. (if your phone is compatible, that is ;))

If you have young kids who play videogames and use the computer a lot. They will know what to do. =)

Thanks everyone!!!

IslandFamily,

Hey! I like all of the responses you received but especially enjoy what Bill and 1995E stated, it's true your kids probably would figure it out faster. No worries, as that's just a sign of the times!

Here are a few websites I have been encouraging Explorer drivers to check out. This will help you begin to get familiar with the system before you receive it, therefore making it less intimidating when it's in front of you.
