mirrors not working

the side mirrors on my 2003 Ford Explorer xlt sport are not working need help

Pull the trim and make sure the switch is plugged in. Do any of the functions work for the mirrors?

the switch is plugged in and no nothing moves on my mirrors

When I got my '01 ST my mirror switch did not work. I took the switch apart and fooled with the internal contacts, but I was not able to get all 4 directions to work reliably. I replaced the switch it and it's been working fine ever since.

Do you have a multi-meter and access to a wiring diagram? If so check for power and ground at the switch's electrical connector. If you have power and ground at the connector then your switch is probably bad. If you don't have power and ground then you may have a blown fuse or a wiring issue.

ORG/LT GN wire should be power into the mirror switch and BLK wire is the ground.

It looks like fuse #1 in the interior fuse panel is for the mirrors.
