Modifications to air box.

Hi, I'm new in this forum.

I need help, in a few days I am going to perform some modifications in the air box system of my 1994 Explorer

What is the function of the vacuum line connected to the manifold and what is the problem if this line is permanently disconnected?

concretely I am going to replace the air box by a conical filter and this filter have no connector to the vacuum line connected to the manifold.

What i can do?

just plug it and secure it to something, you wont have any problems
