Modifying my 06 XLT

Hey Guys,

I am new to the forum, but I have already read so many great posts about what to do to my rig.:exp:. Everyting is slowly coming through the mail

1. Truxx lift

2. 265 75 16 M/T

3. Black out no logo grill

4. Bull bar

5. Running boards

6. HID 6000k HI/LO w/ 3000k HID fogs

7. Red top optima battery ( for my 1000 watt amp)


I already installed the bull guard and the running board which look nice. I think I am going to dip them though. Way too blingy

I would not, leave them chrome. I believe they flow nice with the chrome grill and guard.
If you want to dip them and make them black or something, do so also with the front.

That is a good idea. I am going to pep boys and pick up a few cans of black dip this week. Nervous about installing the lift.

Is that really an XLS? I always thought they had a 'unique' fog-less front bumper, body color grill with black bars, and no wheel lip mouldings. Yours looks more like an XLT. Maybe its been changed?

What are you going to do with the grill thats on it now? Also, Home Depot/Lowes seem to have better prices on Plastidip than Pep Boys.
