After replacing my engine and chasing oil leaks (it took me three tries, so that alone qualifies as a brain fart) I was convinced I had introduced a rattle of some kind, nothing mechanical like a knock, but something rattling in my undercarriage. I was convinced it was probably my exhaust or a heat shield. Two days on the lift and I found NOTHING! NADA!! ZIP!!!... as I lowered “The Exploder (three engines and two transmissions earned this nickname)” I immediately discovered the source. The CB I installed primarily for the PA function... it’s antenna is on a coil. It was the coil bobbing. Not only was it nothing to do with the undercarriage... it was on the complete opposite side of the vehicle.
