I know its been done, is there anyone who can give me a good write-up on this? And Pictures I have the kit and the aal looks skinner than my mono leaf. Another member did his mono leaf with and aal and was told he shouldnt do it but could never remember why. Any input would help

I am not aware of any one who has done an AAL to a mono leaf. I might very well be mistaken. It has happend before ;) But off hand I can not recall any one who has done so.

i actually did it back when i still had my mono leafs. i bought it and did it before i heard yer not supposed to do it. the aal was narrower than the mono leaf and we had to build a little plate with sides to keep the aal centered on the leaf. and doing so did fix my rear end sag. ofcourse i don't know y your not supposed to do it...

I spoke with Mike Eaton (of Eaton Detroit Spring) when I was working on the F150 leaf mod thread. The monoleaf springs are not only tapered in width but in thickness, too. An AAL is not designed to work with them. You're better off swapping in 4 door leaf packs.

A quote from Mike:
"The mono leaf is thick in the center and thins out towards the ends. They are designed to work by themselves. Adding leaves to them is not advised for it will cause unwanted stress in the mono spring."
