I installed air shocks on my '02 Sport Trac today. When I first put the topper/shell on it last month, it was immediately clear it was time to replace the (original 74,000 mile) shocks. Based on someone else's post, I've got 65 pounds of air in them. The ride is firm, but not bad. 65 psi would be too much without the topper on, but I hook up the cargo trailer with the atv in it twice a week, so I'll run them a little stiffer than I would otherwise.
Tips - 1) There is a right and left shock, so look for the R and L on them.
2) Despite what the O'Reilly's website indicates, you do NOT need the extra installation kit to fill both shocks from 1 valve. Everything you need comes with the shocks.
3) Run the lines up asap to clear the spare tire when you crank it back in place.
4) Allow plenty of time. Running the lines can take longer than changing out the shocks.
