That thing looks nice...! Is it yours?

.... repost

nice looking truck...whats up with your engine?

no, it is not mine i built it for a customer. motor is stock with exhaust and 5:13 gears

Just a thought.........Why don't you give us more of a technical view of it???

Better pics of the suspension would be cool too.:)

Is it just the four pics on the photo page?

To be honest, I looked through your whole site and still have no idea what exactly you do. Your home page states "Parts and Supplies", yet on your "Products" page, you only have a couple dozen off the shelf items with no prices.

What exactly do you do?:)

Some nice shots in the projects page. I like that Explorer it would be nice to have some more detailed shots on suspension.

I like your page....some really nice Jeeps on there.

looks neat but, 39s and a d44 front and some decent wheeling equals BOOM! W/ the weight of an explorer and wheelin the people I've seen run 36s and grenade the front end. 39s are gonna be fun to watch on it :D Even w/ Warn axles and CTMs somethin will give

to answer some of the questions, i mostly build custom suspension parts, alot of axle swaps on jeeps, and some engine conversions when i'm in the mood. the web site was started as a business but i never got up and running. there are pictures of the suspension on the project page. there are also pictures of the TJ suspension i built, it was 13" of suspension. way to big in my opinion, but so was the explorer, the explorer headlights are56" to center. they were 2" over the legal limit here in texas. most everything on the site i built except for the hummer and one or two others. as for the dana 44 axle we have beat them pretty hard with good results. most people can't afford a dana 60 and they are pretty rare. the bearings in the dana 44 are a lot better than the the stock front end that came out. 33" mud tires were eating them up. i'm going to send in pics and details of the black explorer, and i plan to swap in a straight axle on my wifes white 95 explorer. it is the white one with 5" suspension and 33" tires.

very cool site. I am interested in spring perches as I am planning to do the axle over on my 86 CJ7. Do you have some for my Jeep and if so how much? Do you also have pitman arms? Do you recommend a transfer case drop for the axle over with stock springs? Thanks in advance.

you will need 2 different pair of perches, $10 for front and $20 for rear, pitman arm is $60, you do not need to drop transfer case with stock springs on CJ and driveshafts will usually be fine because they are almost bottomed out from the factory. if you roll your front pinion down 2 degrees when you weld the perches it will give you better caster(they are at 0 from the factory) which will make it drive better and return to center. i know it sounds wrong but it works fine and the driveshaft will have no angle problems. on the rear turn the pinion down 2 degrees from being in a straight line with the driveshaft. you will still be turning the pinion up, but you don't want it in a straight line. this setup works on a CJ but a YJ is different. it has about 6 degrees of positive caster from the factory on the front end, so the front perches can be welded welded parallel to the factory ones. the transfer case needs to be dropped 1 1/4" and the rear driveshaft will still need to be lengthened 1 1/8" and set the rear pinion angle.

Thanks a lot tbrown. That's good info. So, I can order the perches from you? I have replaced all my suspension bushing with poly and have new shocks intended for 2-4" lifts and I'm looking forward to the axle over being done. How much lift does this provide and what tires are usually run on this set up in your experience?

Where'd that cowl hood come from?

sorry.....just posting to re-subcribe

Look about three inches below the last thread on the page. See where it says 'receive updates to this thread?' Click right there. Bingo.

I agree the truck is too tall. You could have lowered it by cuttting the fenders out and kncoking the firewall back a few inches.

Thanks Mudd*****, I never knew that.
