So...today I went to make a right turn and I heard a pop and then my alignment went out. They replaced the outer tie rods and bearings. The alignment was fine after the repair so I didn't press the issue of the steering wheel being a tenth of a degree off. Do I just go and get it re aligned and hope the tie rods are fine? or do I go back to the mechanic and have him replace the rods again?

What do you MEAN you alignment went out?

Steering wheel alignment should be the first thing they do in an wheel alignment.

Take it back !

They said they aligned it. It was fine last wendsday when I picked it up. Now today I go around a turn and the straight alignment that I had is gone. I looked at the tires and sure as **** the passenger front end tire sticks out at least 3 cm out farther from the wheel well. And the right tire is tucked up into the wheel well at least 3 cm.

3cm is a little over dramatic i guess. maybe mm. but still. it looks like the passenger side tires stick a whole lot farther out than the drivers side ones.

So does anyone think it is just an alignment issue? or something that broke and is sending my alignment out of whack.

and when I say alignment went out I mean it pulls to the right really heavy. sorry, I dont mean to seem dumb. I need to read the posts better.

also noticed the rear passenger side axle sits out past the wheel well and the rear drivers side axle sits too far in. i am quite sure this is what is causing alot of my suspension problems. I need to know how to do it. I have 2.0inch shackles in the back.

i think you might have twisted/bent the shackles. are the nice thicker ones that are common on here? or are they cheap/homemade ones? as for the front sounds like you need to take it back most warrenty work for a minimum of 10 days or so.

did they add a camber caster kit? i know mine needed it cause i lifted it. and bad camber can appear to "stick" out

I got the warrior ones lol....I can look and see what the shackles look like. I did the camber adjustment thing awhile ago. Maybe all it needs is an alignment. I have been reading about bent frames, axles, and all sorts of horrible things that could be a problem. My cousin also told me that the calipers could be sticking on one wheel and dragging my truck right. I don't know about this theory, but I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow.

If it is not shackles, then will I have to get another rear axle assembly?? Thats another couple hundred dollars....
