To explain the flooding issue, it acts like if it had a carburetor, the choke is hanging up. I also thought it could be the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT). Could it be?

"I have a 93' Ford Explorer, and it looses power while driving down the road, but other times it seems like the RPMS are running really high. It seems like it is running out of gas or out of timing. It wants to flood itself. The check engine light comes on. The codes told me that it was the HEGO Sensor, and the Mass Air Flow Sensor. So I changed both. I also followed most of the wires to see if there is a short in the wires. Anybody have any ideas of what it could be?"

Having some wiring problems, please help

In my April 1993 Ford Explorer, does anybody know where the wires from the mass air flow sensor lead to. Also I was wondering if anybody knew, where the mass air flow sensor pin is located at on the electronic control module. I'm having vehicle issues, and I'm alittle confused on where the wires lead to, and where there at on the Control Module. Thank you, and I appreciate any and all help.

does it loose power shorly after starting up and driving off, or only when the engine reaches operating temperature?

Thanks for the welcome. It does it all of the time. When it starts it will rev up and down. Randomly driving down the road it will start it then stop and start again. So it seems like a short in a wire but idk for sure.
